On the trail of the Celts
Kelten-Baum-Weg
An exciting cultural journey through the Iron Age! The Keltenbaumweg that was opened up in 2006 takes you closer to the lives of our forefathers. Imaginatively designed stations let you take a closer look at the living conditions of the Celts. Whether cooking on an open fire or interesting information about salt and iron – the reasons that the Celts settled here: no question about it, Keltenbaumweg in St. Georgen am Attersee is still well worth a visit today.
Special attention was paid to ensure that the exhibition is child-friendly. Numerous natural experiences and lots of opportunity to participate are some of the features that Kelten-Baum-Weg has to offer. An adventure playground is exciting for kids, as is also the nearby look-out tower. You can enjoy a unique view over Salzkammergut from the top of Lichtenberg – the 32 metre high look-out tower will thrill you!
